Lakehouse

Mommy, P. Daddy, and I went to the lakehouse this weekend, and it was SOOOO fun! I spent lots of time with my Grandma and Grandpa, and also my Aunt Christie. I built a whole bunch of things with some Jenga blocks! I rode on the golfcart, and spotted some deer. I picked some wild flowers. I rode on the boat (and P. Daddy even let me drive it)!!! We also went to the beach, where we built some sand castles, made mud pies, and swam. I was not even afraid to float in the lake! I had a GREAT time with everyone!

Birthday Bliss

For those of you who have been living under a rock, my birthday was this Saturday past! I am officially two years old! We had the party at Nana and Papa's house. Nana and Papa helped P. Daddy rehab the trailer in the backyard, and they turned it into a beautiful playhouse for me!! My friends LOVED playing inside of it! We also had a bouncehouse, and of course lots of people (including myself), went swimming in the pool! In the picture, I am blowing out the candles on my cupcakes, which were delicious! I got lots of really cool presents (thank you, everyone)!! For those of you who haven't seen me in a while, I think you might be surprised at how much I have grown....both physically and intellectually. On my birthday, I learned how to jump up (both feet off the ground)!! I am becoming more adventurous on the playground, climbing on everything I can reach. I can now swing on the "big kid" swings! I am learning the difference between sinking and floating, and why things either sink or float. I have learned that I can float while in the bathtub or pool (and have been practicing!) I am speaking in full and complete sentences, and Mommy cannot even count the number of English words in my vocabulary. I am still picking up bits and pieces of Spanish as well. I probably know about 25 words or so, and can use them in the appropriate context. I have learned how to do the Hokey Pokey dance, which I LOVE! I know the difference between right and left. I can draw really well. I can make circles and straight lines now. I am drinking from a regular cup now, unassisted (without a sippy spout)!!! Mommy and I are working on potty training during naps and overnight. I almost always have a clean and dry Pull Up during my naps. I still love to look at books and have them read to me. I also enjoy listening to a variety of music, and of course, dancing! I further enjoy expressing my creativity through coloring with crayons and markers, and I especially like to paint. I am still working on number recognition, but I can count to 15, and know the qualitative measure of all numbers between 1-15. I am also developing quite a sense of humor. I love to listen to, and tell jokes. I have developed a list of words that I find to be silly. The list includes: Tooty Fruity, What? (like Nana and PT say it), and diarrhea! Anyhoo, word has it we might be headed to the lakhouse next week! I look forward to testing out my new fishing pole!!

Zoo

The highlight of my week was going to the zoo on Friday. Despite the rain, Mommy and I ventured out to see the animals! I wore my rainboots and raincoat, and weathered the storm! We went to the petting zoo, where I saw some cows, pigs, chickens, and goats, all of whom were eating their breakfast! I thought it was really funny to see a goat pee on the floor! Next, we went to the play barn. I climbed up and down the stairs and monkeyed around. In this picture, I am standing on a old stagecoach. We saw lots of animals, and even rode the train. The whole time, I had been asking Mommy to see the lions. By the time we got to them, they were already napping! B-O-R-I-N-G!!! The best animal there was a turkey, who kept saying, "Gobble, gobble, gobble" every time I did!

Lakehouse

This past weekend, Mommy, P. Daddy, and I went to the lakehouse. We spent time with my Grandma and Grandpa, my Aunt Christie, and my cousin. I had a really good time taking walks, playing outside, helping P. Daddy with his motorcycle, decorating the golfcart, being in the parade, swimming in the lake, riding on the boat, and going for golfcart rides and looking for deer. Did you know deer eat corn on the cob? I didn't, until this weekend, and I think that's hilarious! Well, I am counting down the days until my birthday party!! Only 12 more days to go! Everyone has been working so hard on my playhouse! I can't wait to see it finished!

Rain Rain, Go Away!

It has been raining EVERY day here!!! Mommy and I finally got sick of it, and went out in the backyard to play in the rain anyhow. Here I am, wearing my rainboots, taking a "rain shower" on the patio!
