Summer Fun!

So far, this summer has proven to be LOTS of fun! We found a great new ice cream shop that we like to frequent. Here, being short is considered favorable (because all peeps under 40" eat for free!)!! I plan to get try all 131 flavors at some point! I've been swimming like a fish too! I'm still wearing my float suit, but this year, I can doggie paddle ALL over the pool! I'm not even afraid of the deep water. Lots of my friends are starting to have their birthday parties, which is always fun. Birthdays = cake, and everyone know, I LOVE cake! Speaking of birthdays, mine is coming up in July. Mommy is already helping me to plan it. Oh, and I got a new Barbie Jeep, which is really fast. I'm a pretty good driver too. I'll post some pictures on my blog next time. Mommy has been busy with LLL, lots of other mommies to help. We've also been babysitting a baby for one of mommy's friends. He is SOOO cute, and I really like to help Mommy with him. I finished my last music class and will be taking June off. In July, I'll actually move up to the "big girl" class, which Mommy does not even attend. That's right- I'll go ALL BY MYSELF!!

Who screams for ice cream?

I'll scream, I'll yell, I'll even ask nicely. Anything in the name of an ice cream!

Padre

We made it home safely from Padre last night, after having been gone for about 10 days. I don't even know where to start! I had SUCH a blast! I spent almost every waking hour outdoors. The weather was pretty nice for the most part, although it was cloudy daily until about 2pm. Nana and Miss Pat were nice enough to rent us a beach tent daily, which was really nice. (I didn't want the sun to burn my "beautiful baby skin"!) I played on the beach, collected shells, looked for crabs, visited the Sea Life Center, hung around the with Sea Turtles, went for walks, swam in the pool, rode on a boat, fished in the bay, ate really good and fresh sea food, messed around (a LOT), had family movie night (Milo & Otis is my new favorite movie), played Memory, hung out on the patio, drank a (virgin-don't worry) daqueri with the girls, shopped, ate ice cream, and more. I am so happy that everyone who came could come, and that everyone was so helpful to Mommy and P. Daddy (even watching Ansley and I so Mommy and P. Daddy could go out for Mother's Day)! I made some lasting memories that I will cherish forever!

A pirate's life for me! I enjoyed eating the fish at Pirate's Landing! (The company was good too!)

Fishing

Fishing this year was pretty awesome, despite the fact that we did not catch a whole lot. David was nice enough to bring a fishing pole JUST FOR ME!! It was just my size, and VERY cool. I was disappointed that I did not catch anything, but I'll still try again next year! I had fun just messing around on the boat with Mommy, Nana, Molly, and Miss Pat!

Fun in the Sun

Twirling with sand in a shovel became a favtorite event of mine! but seriously, I had a TON of fun building sandcastles and gardens on the beach. I did not really feel like swimming in the ocean this year. It was really windy and the water was too cold for me!

In Loving Memory

Great Grandma Gigi lost her battle with Colon Cancer almost two weeks ago. I was not able to go and visit her, but Mommy and Ansley did. We will all miss her dearly, and Mommy has promised to help me keep her memory alive! Please keep her, her husband, and our family in your prayers.
