Not so Happy Thanksgiving

Man oh man, am I ever sick! My sister and I both got the flu, despite having had a shot! It seems to be taking FOREVER to feel better! Mommy is trying her best to make me comfortable though. I won't drink Pedialyte, so I've been drinking a lot of water! I didn't have as much puking as my baby sister did, but my fever is by far worse! Mommy made us a pallet on the floor which was really fun. We got to play Pollys and with the train set on it. We've also been reading a lot, and watching a lot of movies. Mommy calls it "veging out". I think we are all anxious for me to feel better, get over the fussiness and get out of the house! On Thanksgiving Day, my Papa was nice enough to come and watch me while Mommy, P. Daddy, and my sister went to my Grandma & Grandpa Siemer's house. We had a lot of fun watching football, reading books, and just cuddling! Thank you, Papa, for making my night extra special! I was not too sad about not eating turkey. I was upset however, that I didn't get any pie. Like Mommy says though, there is always Christmas! Today was really fun. I helped P. Daddy decorate the Christmas tree. He even let me earn a few dollars, which I plan to buy a replacement Frisco kitty doll with (I left mine in the hotel in San Antonio on the way home from the beach a few months ago). I am very much looking forward to Christmas! In fact, in preparation, my parents let me stay up late last night with them, and watch The Polar Express. We also drank hot chocolate in front of the fire. It was REALLY nice! I loved the movie. Other than lying around being sick, I haven't had much time for anything else. My sister's latest obsession is taking baths, so I've been indulging with her!
Throughout the month of December, Mommy is planning on teaching me about different aspects of Christmas. I am starting to realize the importance of giving to others. It makes me sad to know there are a lot of Americans this year, who will (or already have) lost their jobs. It makes me sad to know, like the little boy in The Polar Express, that some children do not even get any presents at Christmas time. We recently went through our closets and donated several bags of stuff that we are not using. It is my hope that someone will find treasure in our old toys and things!

Nasher

I went to the Nasher for the first time this weekend with my Grandma and Grandpa. We had so much fun! There are so many activities for the kids to do! I went on a scavenger hunt and won a prize. I also made an art project! I wanted to stay longer! Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa, for making my experience so wonderful!

Happy Halloween

Here I am with my sister, getting ready to go out trick or treating for the night! After several costume changes, I decided to be a baby. There was just something special about the footie pajamas that Nana bought for me! (Thank you, Nana!) I got SOOOO much candy! I haven't gotten sick of it yet! The M&Ms are my favorite.

Pumpkin carving

This year was a first for me to help carve a pumpkin! Mommy helped me draw the face on, then Daddy cut the pieces out. I helped collect the goup from the inside and pick the seeds out. Mommy then roasted them, and they tasted SO good! We put our jack o lantern on the front porch on Halloween night!
