3 Year Update

I just had my 3 year check up this morning, and I'm healthy as a horse! I weigh about 25 pounds, and I'm 38" tall. My pediatrician says I'm small or petite for my age, but that she is not surprised, because both of my parents are small (I'm in the 3rd percentile for weight, and about 30th for height). I have started reading short words, like "mom", "the", "stop", "dog", and "cat". I can spell my own name. I know my address and am working on my telephone number. I can stand and hop on one foot. I can count to twenty in English and Spanish. I get along really well with my friends, sharing and caring! I still love to be read to. I love music and dancing! My music class is my favorite! I am looking forward to starting my homeschool in the Fall. Mommy has already ordered a bunch of supplies! I can dress myself, potty by myself, and brush my own hair/teeth. I have also started making my own lunches. I am working my way towards independence!

Crazy Busy

I haven't blogged in a while, because we've been SO busy! I've been attending music class, doing craft projects, attending birthday parties (as depicted above at a splash park!), playing with friends, attending the La Leche League conference, getting pofessional pictures done, going to the Aquarium, and the library, etc. It has been SO hot this summer!

Cinderella!!!

This has sincerely been one of the best weeks ever! I started my summer music class this week. It's a pretty big deal, because for the first time, I get to go all by myself! My mom has been babysitting a preteen this week, and she's been really fun to hang out with. She's a really good sport about reading to me, playing Polly's, and of course, answering the zillions of questions I have ever day! One of my friends also took me out to lunch. We went to an Italian place, where we got to mold our own pizza dough. I had Mommy help me shape mine into a dress. We took it home, and spred yogurt on it, then topped it with sprinkles, which Mommy said make it look like sparkles! I had two birthday parties this weekend! That's right, today's the big day! Happy birthday to me! I had a painting party with my friends on Saturday, then I had a family party at the Magic Time Machine on Sunday. This is a picture taken at the MTM. Cinderella was actually our waitress! I couldn't believe she actually got a job waiting tables, but I was glad, nonetheless! She was really fun. She told jokes, and played hand slapping games. She also brought me cookies and suckers! Thank you Grandma & Grandpa, Nana & Papa, Lele, Uncle Steve, and Chris & Ryan for making my birthday party so magical! I got a lot of really great toys, books, and clothes, and I am very thankful for everything!

4th of July Extravaganza

Wow I had a busy week! The whole family went to the lakehouse for the weekend, where we met up with Grandma & Grandpa and Chris and Ryan. We watched P. Daddy set off some little fireworks in the street. We also swam and just had fun in general. P. Daddy and Chris & Ryan left Sunday afternoon, while we stayed with Mommy all week at the lakehouse. It was really fun getting to spend so much time with Grandma & Grandpa. A special thanks to Grandma who spent countless hours playing with me and my Polly Pockets! We went to a fishery, played on the beach, swam in the lake, took boat rides, rode on the golf cart, played games, and swam in the hottub and kiddie pool. When the next weekend came around, Nana and Miss Pat joined us, as well as P. Daddy, Uncle Steve, Aunt Chris, Papa, and Lele. We watched fireworks, worked on projects (Mommy and I made 4th of July star necklaces for everyone in the parade), danced & listened to music, had an unbirthday party, read books, chased the ducks, and visited. I had an absolute blast. Especially on the 5th at the airshow! Mommy got me a glow stick, which I danced around all night with! It was really fun to stay up late and spend time with my family! Thank you, Grandma & Grandpa, for making this trip possible!

Here I am showing off my nail polish. Mommy and I painted our fingers and toes to look like American flags. Happ 4th of July, everyone!

Parade

We decorated a golf cart for the parade which was really fun! It was hot, but we had plenty of water! We also threw candy at (to) all of the kids watching the parade! It was bigger than ever this year!

Happy Unbirthday

Miss Pat came up with the brilliant idea to have an unbirthday party for me while we were there (because she won't be here for my actual birthday)! We squirted whipped cream on these angel food cupcakes, sang Happy Birthday to Me, and opened some presents. It was really fun! Thanks again, Miss Pat! I love you!

Fishery

This is us at the fishery. Yes, those are actually catfish! They were HUGE! While there, we saw LOTS of fish, got a tram tour of the feeder ponds, saw a diver go into a huge tank and actually feed the fish (including an alligator gar), and we saw an alligator! I look forward to going back another time, and seeing the sights along the trail!

Fun w/ Grandpa

There is a beach not too far from Grandma & Grandpa's lakehouse, which is where we spent a lot of time! Here, Grandpa is helping me dig in the sand. We built a few castles, and used leaves to make flags.
