More Animals

Mommy can't get over how quickly I am growing and developing! First, I would just like to mention something I have been laughing about for a week. I have been suffering from Night Terrors lately (which is NOT at all funny). But, the other afternoon, when I was coming out of one, Mommy was trying to comfort me. We were sitting up in my bed, and I actually sneezed a tear out (of my eye)! Have you ever heard of suck a thing? I thought it was hilarious myself! Just to give all of you an update, I am making HUGE progress in reading. I have memorized almost all of my books! I know a BUNCH of sight words like "you", "with", "he", "I", "and" and of course, my own name! I can now write my name all by myself. My Daddy bunked my beds a few weekends ago, and I can climb up and down all by myself, even in the dark! Over the weekend, we went to the live stock show. It was REALLY fun, because Nana's family had their animals there. Here I am with Mr. David, brushing a baby brahma. That "baby" was bigger than my Mommy! The brahmas actual mom was as tall as a small car! Here I am petting her back, while she was resting. We got to go around and see some other animals too, like goats, chickens, pigs, and more. I even met a girl who was seven and was showing her own animals! She was a bonafide cowgirl! That was impressive to me, given her young age! Anyhow, there was a children's barn with a variety of activities, including these cool play tractors. They also had a fake cow you could "pretend" to milk. I thought that was pretty lame, seeing as I've already milked an actual cow! We went into yet another building, and they had REAL tractors (for sale), that we got to climb on! Here I am pretending to drive my sister on the farm, with Miss Molly (that's her back)! Because yesterday was a holiday and P. Daddy was off, we went to the zoo! Aunt Chris and Ryan were able to join us, which made it extra special! We saw the monkeys up close! We saw the meerkats (which were my cousin's favorite!) We even got to hear the mighty lion roar (right on time)!! We had a picnic lunch and fed the birds. We played in the barn and pet the animals in the petting zoo area. We also stopped to take this token stagecoach picture! Anyhow, it was a really fun week overall. We went to a LLL meeting and had my last music class (of the fall). In two weeks I will start my new class. We are learning about dinosaurs now! I LOVE the T. Rex and Stegosaurus.

It's a New Year

Happy New Year to all of my friends and family! So far so good for me! Nana took me for an outing about a week ago, and helped me make these football helmet bookends. I have a lot of fun with my Nana, especially when I get to go all by myself! Mommy then had my sister and I paint them at home. We LOVE to paint, as you all know! My Grandma and Grandpa also came over for another visit with Aunt Mo. They were leaving for the coast, and wanted to see my sister and I again one more time. I had a lot of fun with them, playing and messing around. Here I am sharing some caviar with Grandpa. My mommy started babysitting to make some extra money. It's been really fun for me hanging out with the babies. Mommy even lets me help her, by getting diapers, and holding the bottles to help feed the babies. (We are watching two). Mommy also let me help her choose topics for homeschool this semester. Right now, we're learning all there is to know about mermaids. Since that is my current obsession, Mommy is working on a book about them. I know that they are mythical, but there is just something so interesting and fascinating about them! This past weekend, we went with Nana's cousin to their animal show. It was FREEZING!! We came ill prepared in the coat department for sure. Luckily, Nana was nice enough to put her in her coat to warm up. And, Miss Molly bought me some hot chocolate! Thanks, Miss Molly! We got to see and pet all sorts of animals, including pigs, goats, bunnies, and brahmas! I was pretty brave with the bunnies, and actually stuck my hand inside the cage to pet them. I am hoping that some day I might get one for a pet. I think our backyard would be the perfect place to keep a bunny rabbit! The brahmas were so big, they scared me, so this was as close as I got!
