I'm the boss!

First, my mommy would like to apologize for snoozing last week! We've been pretty busy. Here I am doing my best "bossy" impersonation and telling my mommy what to do! I like to think I've become pretty good at that lately. Last week we went to the library, hung out with Grandpa Don, attended playgroup, and made some new friends. My Uncle Thomas was in town this weekend with his dog, so my Aunt Julie and Mogwai got to stay with us at our house! I love to pant like Mogwai. Uncle Thomas, Sweetie, and Grandpa Don all rode in the "Hotter Than Hell" bike race this weekend, and amazingly, survived the heat. Mommy and P. Daddy took me to a birthday party on Saturday which was really fun. I especially liked going down the slide, and eating cake and ice cream. Sunday, we went for a long bike ride, and ended up playing for a really long time at the playground. P. Daddy spun me around on the merry-go-round, which was really fun. (He ended up feeling woosy and got off before I was ready!) I also crawled through the tunnel, climbed all of the stairs, slid down the slides, swang on the swings, and got really tired! After my nap, my Uncle Steve came to visit. He was SO nice and brought me a big red ball, which I love! He also showed me how to blow in a bottle and make music. It was fascinating! We finally got some MUCH needed rain yesterday afternoon and today. Although I am bummed because we haven't been able to go out much, mommy assures me that the rain is good for feeding the plants and helping them grow. We look forward to the holiday weekend coming up, and to spending time with our relatives from the North coming to visit (My great Aunt Pat and her daughter, Kristin). I am also looking forward to getting to visit with my Grandma and Grandpa Siemer next weekend as well! Posted by Picasa

Here I am, practicing my walking skills! Posted by Picasa

My Bike

Here I am participating in one of my favorite past times...riding my bike. Frisco likes to watch me (you can see him in the background...he's the lovable neighborhood kitty that sometimes hangs out at my house). Posted by Picasa

13 Month Update

Here I am hanging out with my Sweetie. She is so much fun to play with! As of today, I am officially 13 months old. I have taken my first steps!!! I am having a lot of fun learning to walk, because it makes me feel like a big girl. I am cautious by nature though, so I like to take it slow. I appreciate the kudos I get when I do something good! I can stand really well on my own now, and LOVE to dance to just about any type of music! I communicate well with everyone, still usuing sign language. I started saying two new words "mom" and "hi". I immitate EVERYTHING everyone does! In fact, this morning, mommy was changing my diaper, and said "pee ewe" and held her nose. I took one look at her, and did it right back to her! We both laughed, because it was funny! Posted by Picasa

Circus!

The highlight of my week was definitely getting to go to the circus with my Grandpa Don and mommy! I absolutely LOVED it! I got to see so many things! I saw the ringmaster, acrobats, clowns, tightrope walkers, trapeze artists, elephants, horses, zeebras, camels, and more! I don't think I had ever seen so many people in one place! We had great seats, and I loved it!! A special thanks to you, Grandpa Don, for making my day so wonderful and happy! Posted by Picasa

Circus!

This was pretty much the expression on my face the whole time I was at the circus. There was SO much to see, I was absolutely in awe! Posted by Picasa

Circus!

Here I am, livin it up, with the circus to my back. It was SO cool when they turned the lights off, and everything glowed in the dark! Posted by Picasa

Here I am just having fun at home. This weekend I spent a lot of time with P. Daddy and Sweetie, while mommy recovered from her surgery. P. Daddy showed me how to find sprinkler boxes underground, and Sweetie showed me how to blow bubbles in the waterfall in her pool! Now that mommy is better, we've been back on track. Story time is suspended for the rest of the summer, but we go and check out books anyhow. I'm really into Touch and Feel books, and anything about cows, dogs, cats, or ducks! Tomorrow we have LLL and will spend the rest of the day with Grandpa Don. Thursday we have playgroup (we're going to an indoor bouncehouse, so that will be fun!) and Friday is my last swimming lesson of the summer. My Grandma and Grandpa S. left for the beach, so I'll be missing them! Mommy's going to be busy in the next few weeks preparing to go back to work (from home), because she got the contract she'd been wanting! We'll see how that goes! Posted by Picasa
