Pumpkin Picking

So, I studying famring this weekend. Luckily, we have a farm nearby us, so Mommy took us on a field trip! I LOVE field trips. The weather was awesome! We didn't get to see any of the planting aspects of farming, but we did learn all about the animals. We saw/pet goats, sheep, cows, an alpaca, a donkey, pigs, ducks, chickens, turkeys, and more! Plus, there was a real life maze! I really enjoy doing mazes on paper, so when I got to actually walk through one, I was quite excited. In fact, I made my mommy and sister do it about 7 times in a row! Anyhow, we went on the wildest hayride I've ever been on! We learned a lot about the animals. I got to milk a cow. We had a picnic, and then picked a pumpkin to take home! It was a great day!

Goofing Off

My sister, our friends, and I stopped to take this silly picture! It literally took about 15 shots to get a good one, of all of us looking in the same direction at the same time!

Alpaca

In this picture, I'm going head to head with an alpaca. An Alpaca is cousin to the lama. I thought it might spit at me, but it didn't!

Let the Festivities Begin!

We went to In the Park Afterdark last weekend, and it was SOO fun! I bounced in the bouncehouse, listened to karaoke, played games, went through a maze, and picked a pumpkin from a pumpkin patch! I also listened to my very first ghost story about a huge possum monster looking for his taily bone. I got scared in the middle, so we left early. It should be noted that it was pitch black, in the woods, and that the only light was a few torches! What fun! Halloween is just around the corner!

The Fair!

Oh what fun! Grandma and Grandpa S. took Mommy, my sister, and me to the Fair this past week! The weather was gorgeous! It was nice and cool this year. We had SOOO much fun! I became a farmer and did my farm chores. I got to pick a peach, feed the animals (chickens, a cow, and some sheep), I gathered the eggs, I planted a seed (pea), and then harvested the pea, I milked a cow and got the milk, I took some wool from the sheep, and even drove the tractor. I then took my goods, sold them, and was paid! With the money, I went to the general store, and even got to purchase a snack! Talk about learning fun! We then had a picnic in the shade. The adults even let me try some of their corny dogs! I rode on the ferris wheel, which is HUGE! I also rode a roller coaster, and the super fast carousel. We then ventured into the petting zoo, where I fed every animal that would approach! I especially liked watching the baby goats jump all over the pen. Thanks again, Grandma and Grandpa, for making my day at the Fair so special!

Science Kid

Wow, I have been SUPER busy lately. I am super excited about my homeschool. I have been especially interested in science stuff lately. My mom found these cool magnifying glasses online, and I have been exploring EVERYTHING with them! Currently, I am studying fall. I have been learning all about how the leaves change from green to red/brown/yellow/orange after losing their chlorophyl. I never knew leaves have pigment in them, just like our skin does! Anyhow, we're making a bird feeder this week, which I am pretty excited about. What else? We've been to the lakehouse with my friend Dex and his family. That was REALLY fun! We went out on the boat, swam in the lake, played at the beach, played outside, had a bonfire, and more! I've been hanging out with my friends, going to music class, playing at the park (I LOVE this fall weather!), just to name a few! This past weekend, I helped my Grandpa and Nana celebrate their birthdays! I also visited with my Great Aunt Mo and her friend, Janet. We actually had a slumber party with cake and everything! Mommy, Nana, my sister, and I went to the playhouse to see Cinderella this weekend. We got to have tea with the cast during intermission, which was great. I got to meet Cinderella and the Prince, AND, he danced with me!!!! I think I might want to take acting lessons this summer! Mommy and P. Daddy said I can only pick one activity though, and I'm torn between acting and dancing. (I have been watching Dancing With the Stars religiously!)
