Birthday Bliss
For those of you who have been living under a rock, my birthday was this Saturday past! I am officially two years old! We had the party at Nana and Papa's house. Nana and Papa helped P. Daddy rehab the trailer in the backyard, and they turned it into a beautiful playhouse for me!! My friends LOVED playing inside of it! We also had a bouncehouse, and of course lots of people (including myself), went swimming in the pool! In the picture, I am blowing out the candles on my cupcakes, which were delicious! I got lots of really cool presents (thank you, everyone)!! For those of you who haven't seen me in a while, I think you might be surprised at how much I have grown....both physically and intellectually. On my birthday, I learned how to jump up (both feet off the ground)!! I am becoming more adventurous on the playground, climbing on everything I can reach. I can now swing on the "big kid" swings! I am learning the difference between sinking and floating, and why things either sink or float. I have learned that I can float while in the bathtub or pool (and have been practicing!) I am speaking in full and complete sentences, and Mommy cannot even count the number of English words in my vocabulary. I am still picking up bits and pieces of Spanish as well. I probably know about 25 words or so, and can use them in the appropriate context. I have learned how to do the Hokey Pokey dance, which I LOVE! I know the difference between right and left. I can draw really well. I can make circles and straight lines now. I am drinking from a regular cup now, unassisted (without a sippy spout)!!! Mommy and I are working on potty training during naps and overnight. I almost always have a clean and dry Pull Up during my naps. I still love to look at books and have them read to me. I also enjoy listening to a variety of music, and of course, dancing! I further enjoy expressing my creativity through coloring with crayons and markers, and I especially like to paint. I am still working on number recognition, but I can count to 15, and know the qualitative measure of all numbers between 1-15. I am also developing quite a sense of humor. I love to listen to, and tell jokes. I have developed a list of words that I find to be silly. The list includes: Tooty Fruity, What? (like Nana and PT say it), and diarrhea! Anyhoo, word has it we might be headed to the lakhouse next week! I look forward to testing out my new fishing pole!!
