Merry Christmas

Aside from a touch of stomach bug, Christmas was AWESOME this year! Christmas Eve, was spent at Grandma and Grandpa S.' house. Auntie MoMo, Aunt Christie, and Uncle Steve were also there. We played games, listened to Christmas music, opened presents, and ate dinner. It was a lot of fun. On the way home, Mommy and P. Daddy helped me look for the red glow of Rudolph's nose in the sky. We didn't see him, but he sure brought Santa to my house! In the morning I had TONS of presents under the tree and in my stocking. I was a VERY good girl this year! Nana Sweetie and Papa Don brought breakfast and dinner to us (because mommy was feeling yucky). They also stayed and played with me for a while. P. Daddy also helped me set my train sets up. I love to hear the train and say "Choo Choo"! Merry Christmas everyone! Have a safe and happy New Year! Posted by Picasa

Auntie MoMo's Visit

Last week, my beloved Auntie MoMo (AKA Mimi) came to visit us. She even stayed at our house for the weekend. I had a LOT of fun coloring, singing, dancing, and playing with her. She had some really cool fuzzy socks, that I really enjoyed touching. I also liked to help her take them off and put them on again. Do you see the star on her sweater? I pointed out to Auntie MoMo that we have a similar star atop our Christmas tree. In the picture, I am showing Auntie MoMo how I can identify some of my colors (mainly black, red, and blue). Posted by Picasa

Vacation!

P. Daddy is on vacation, and we're having a blast! Here we are, participating in one of our favorite activites. It's called the baby swing! P. Daddy picks me up, and swings me between his legs. It's really fun! Mommy and I are really glad he's home for a WHOLE week, to spend time with us! Posted by Picasa

7 More Days Until Christmas!

Well, Mommy, P. Daddy, and I have all of our Christmas shopping done! I am counting down the days to Santa's arrival at my house. (As you all know, I've been a VERY good girl!) I have been asking mommy to read me my Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer book every day (sometimes several times a day!) If I can stay up late enough, I'll be looking for the red glow in the sky on Christmas Eve. Mommy and I have been listening to Christmas music, and it makes me smile. Although it's quite warm here, I know we're going to have a wonderful (nonwhite) Christmas. Last week, we went to Story Time and had a playdate with some friends. Over the weekend, my Nana and Papa babysat me twice, so Mommy and P. Daddy could have a nice dinner with friends and then go and see a movie. I have SO much fun with my Nana and Papa! I have also been helping Mommy with the toy drive for the CPS kids. Another very successful year, thanks to P. Daddy's cohorts. Mommy and P. Daddy have been talking a lot about my Auntie Mo, who's coming to visit this week. I am really excited about her coming. I heard she may even spend the night at my house! (Yeah!) We're also going to be watching Lele's dog, Mogwai, while she goes out of town. I can't wait for that either! Mogwai is one of my favorite dog friends. Mommy and I even prepared (yes, from scratch) some special doggie treats for her, to make her stay more comfortable. (Don't worry Auntie Mo., Mommy will bake you some cookies, or a cake or a pie or something as well!) 7 more days until Christmas, and I'm counting down!!! Posted by Picasa

17 Month Update

I am a few days shy of 17 months. Still making good progress in every way. Mommy got me some really fun dress up clothes (as you can see in the picture!) I even have a magic wand that glows in the dark! I am almost completely potty trained now! I am VERY proud about that. I am still learning my colors and letters. I can recognize red really well (because Elmo is red). I am still really into music, and ask mommy and daddy to play some frequently. I have become an expert climber. I am beginning to put two words together, to form short sentences. My vocabulary is increasing daily. I still love chasing the neighborhood cat (Frisco), playing outdoors, feeding the ducks at the park, doing puzzles, playing with dolls, building with blocks, and coloring with crayons. I am REALLY looking forward to Christmas, and a visit from Santa (because I have been a VERY good girl ALL year!) Posted by Picasa

Trains

One of the highlights of my week last week, was in going to the mall with my mommy, Grandpa, and Grandma S. to see the trains! I loved looking at everything, and making "choo choo" noises. I also got to play in a really cool toy store, hear Santa tell a story, and admire some dogs and cats waiting to be adopted. One dog was really loud, and kept barking. My favorite though, was a little striped kitty cat. I said, "Meow" to the cat, and the cat said, "Meow" back to me. I said "Meow" again, and the cat said, "Meow" back! This banter carried on for a few minutes at least! It was really fun! Posted by Picasa

Snow Day!

Lat week, some wintery weather FINALLY arrived! Mommy, P. Daddy, and Nana Sweetie took me outside, to play in the snow. As you can see, there wasn't a whole lot of snow, but let me tell you, there was a WHOLE lot of COLD!! My nose was really red, like Rudolph. I liked the way the snow made a crunching sound under my feet! Posted by Picasa

More Snow

This is me and my Nana Sweetie. She was helping me to investigate this leaf which was covered in snow! I love my mittens! (Thank you, Nana!) Posted by Picasa
