Busy Bee

Last week was really fun. The ducks we visit at the pond near our house, had babies! We've been walking up there almost daily to check on them, and feed them some bread. I LOVE the baby ducks! Mommy and I went to visit my Aunt Christie and cousin Ryan. We got to go to the park and play with Bambi (Ryan's dog). I had a really great time! I slid down the slide, went through a tunnel, and had Aunt Christie push me on the "big" swings! The next day, Mommy and P. Daddy had a party at my house, and my bestest friend, the other "A" came over! Nana watched us play, WAY past our bedtimes! It was a lot of fun. P. Daddy took me on a really long bike ride, with Nana and Papa. The park is shut down for Mayfest, so I was bummed about not getting to play that day. Mommy says we can go to Mayfest soon though, so I am looking forward to that. Sunday, we hung out and Nana and Papa's house, while P. Daddy worked on the playhouse. ALL of the demo is officially done. Now comes the fun part! Decorating the inside! I cannot wait to see how it turns out! Also, the countdown to SPI has begun! Only a few more weeks to go!

21 Month Update

The birthday countdown has officially begun, as has my entry into the "terrible two's" stage of life! In three short months, I will have my 2nd birthday! I have been really busy lately. We've been going to story time, having playgroups, attending LLL meetings, dancing it up in music class, and going to birthday parties (and you ALL know what THAT means----CAKE!!!!!) I have also been spending time with my Nana and Papa. This picture shows me goofing off with Nana! I am speaking in complete (but sometimes choppy) sentences now. Mommy cannot even count the number of words I know. I still like to mimic everything I hear. I can identify ALL of the letters of the alphabet, but I can't yet sing the complete song. I know most of my numbers, up to 10. I can work a puzzle like a pro. I love to paint, draw, and color. I also like to play with playdough. I definitely have a knack for art and music (the finer things in life!) I have a lot of friends, and enjoy spending time with them. I love pretending. Mommy has started letting me watch a little bit of television. I have outgrown my love for Elmo already, and have moved on to Dora and the Backyardigans. I mostly talk (nonstop) about the Backyardigans. Mommy and P. Daddy got me a really big slide this weekend. I am still learning how to climb up it by myself, but I LOVE sliding down it! I have been helping Mommy and P. Daddy around the house (doing gardening). Oh, and most importantly, I am learning how to jump. I can ALMOST get both feet off the floor at the same time!

Easter Weekend

We spent Easter weekend with my Gamma and Papa Seem at their lakehouse. It was really fun, but it actually SNOWED!! All day Saturday, we watched it come down in sheets. The ground was so warm, however, none of it stuck. Unfortunately, My cousin RyRy and Aunt Chris were supposed to come, but couldn't. I kept asking where they were. We had a lot of fun though. We played games, watched a movie about a pig (Charlotte's Web), ate great food, and spent quality time with the family. Uncle Steve came as well! He helped me find a lot of eggs in the Easter egg hunt. The Easter bunny was good to me this year, I guess that is because I've been such a good girl!

TX Tradition

For those of you who live in other States, and don't know, the Bluebonnet is the State flower here. They are in full bloom right now! It's a Texas tradition for families to seek out the most lush grouping of flowers, and take a TON of pictures in them. This is my "token" bluebonnet picture for this year! Aren't they beautiful?!!!

Thomas the Train!!!!

The highlight of my weekend was getting to spend some time with my Aunt Lele (depicted above with me) at a really cool festival. Thomas the Train was there, and we got to take a RIDE on him! I was so happy, I danced on the train. I also got a tatoo of Thomas (don't worry, it's a temporary!) I got to jump in a bouncehouse, blow bubbles, play at some train tables, and listen to a story. Thank you again, Lele, for making the trip so memorable!

Fun W/ P. Daddy

This weekend was P. Daddy's company picnic. We had it in a really cool park, that had a train and carnival rides as well! Here I am enjoying a spin on the carousel with P. Daddy. We are all so glad that the weather was nice!

Carni Fun!

Did I mention that I rode on my very first "amusement park" ride? Here I am, in the penguin car, going faster than I can even describe in words! Mommy and P. Daddy were really proud of me! I kept shouting, "Go fast! Go fast!"
