This weekend, we decided to take a family excursion to Austin. Mommy & Daddy's university was having a 10 year reunion for their class. We left early Friday morning, and had just enough time to go to an awesome new splash park before dinner! They had all kinds of fountains that shot water up at varying levels. They also had small pools on the outskirts, which were perfect for kids my sister's age. We could not have asked for better weather on Friday. It was SO hot! In fact, after we had been there about two hours, the adults wanted to leave, to escape the heat!

My sister and I had so much fun playing with Nikos and Diego, while Mommy was able to catch up with Jean! We even got to have some yummy snacks! We later adjourned to Jean's house, where we played and she made an awesome dinner for us, with cookies for dessert! Saturday morning, we got up and played around the house until my sister finished her nap. Then, we all went to campus and toured all of the new areas. Mommy & Daddy said they were astounded by all of the changes that had occurred in the past 10 years!

There are a TON of new dorms, and everything is high tech. We went through the new book store too, and I was delighted that they were serving cookies for free! I had a great time just messing around, snooping, and running everywhere! Our friend Greg met us up there too, and he was a really good sport about playing with us!

We ran into some of Mommy & Daddy's old friends, so they were able to catch up. We then went out for a really nice dinner with Jean and Jerry and the kids. Nikos and Diego shared their figurines with me, and I really enjoyed playing with the princess one! Thanks you guys! Sunday, we got up early and headed to Zilker Park for the 81st annual kite festival. We met Uncle Thomas, Kim, and Mommy's cousin Sean (and his wife and kids).

We saw a TON of different kites. We also jumped in a bouncehouse, and ate some really yummy food. I made some friends (as depicted), who showed me how to fly a glider! After the festivities, we went over to the playground. I enjoyed climbing all over everything. Some else brought bubbles too, and I spent a lot of time chasing them! It was really cold that day, but there wasn't a cloud in the sky! I want to send a special thanks to the Lopez family, for making our stay in Austin so enjoyable! We had a GREAT weekend!
