Summer's Almost Over!

This summer has been a blast, but it's gone by almost too quickly! We've been staying busy with LLL meetings, playgroups, and more. Mommy actually took us to the theater for the first time. I really liked it! We saw The Big Bad Wolf. All of the actors were children. They actually have a school and classes, which Mommy said I could take next summer when I turn 4. We have been swimming a lot, and also helping a friend (by watching her toddler because her husband is in the hospital). I have been to a few birthday parties as well. Mommy took us to the zoo last week, when it was rainy. Mommy says those days are the best for the zoo, because there is no one there, and it's cool outside. She was right! We got to see all of the animals up close and personal! There is a new penguin exibit which I really enjoyed. Of course I really liked the petting zoo part too. They had brushes out this time, so I brushed a goat. We couldn't find the turkey this time, which was disappointing. Also, we went to the circus this weekend! I thought the tight rope walkers were amazing! I also liked the clowns. I wasn't too fond of the tigers though. I kept worrying that they would escape, and since I know they are carnivores, that kind of bothered me. Overall it was really fun though, and I am really glad I got to go with my Papa Don! Thanks, Papa, for making the circus so enjoyable once again! We also went to the water gardens downtown. Once with just Mommy, and then another time with Mommy and Papa Don. I love to watch the water spray everywhere. I also like that all the signs are pictographs, which I can easily read. I am still not sure why you can't swim in the water. One of the pools is really shallow and would have been fun to wade it. I got a little wet when Mommy let me put my hands in the water fall wall. It rained that day too, but that didn't stop us! I am starting homeschool officially next week, although Mommy decided to do a short lesson in dinosaurs (there is an IMAX movie and exibit at the museum here now, and Mommy didn't want me to miss out). In just under two weeks, we'll be headed for a Siemer family trip to Padre. I am really looking forward to visiting the beach again, and getting to spend time with my family. Uncle Mike is even coming! I keep telling P. Daddy I need some new water shoes though, because my Dora ones are too small this year. I have grown too much!!
